Share stories about books—especially those that have faced challenges—that have inspired you and shaped your perspective. Get ready for an exciting new format celebrating local literary talent! This year, instead of individual author visits, we're hosting a Local Author Showcase. This event is a fantastic opportunity for authors to present their work, connect with fellow writers, and engage directly with the public.

The Library Advisory Board (LAB) acts as the planning body for library activities and special projects and makes recommendations to the administration and assembly. The board also reviews annual budgets and operations. It consists of nine members and is established under Chapter 4.60.40 of the Municipal Code. The Library Director serves as the Executive Secretary.

Reading sessions are 10 minutes long and are scheduled on a first come basis with the last session starting at 3:50 pm. Sign-up will open at 2:45 pm with the first session starting at 3 pm.
PAWSitive Reading is a special program designed to provide young children (Kindergarten-4th grade) with a stress-free environment to practice their reading. Therapy dogs are patient listeners for new and struggling readers. Children who participate learn to associate reading with a positive experience and build confidence while practicing reading.
Sign-up to read to a dog! Therapy dogs are patient listeners for new and struggling readers. Reading sessions are 10 minutes and can be reserved in-person starting at 3:45PM on the day of the event. The final session begins at 4:45PM.

Members have the option to participate in a potluck.
