Author Event with Michaela Goade

Meet award-winning author and illustrator Michaela Goade!
Enjoy a reading of one of Michaela's books followed by a presentation about her work and how she draws inspiration for her art, plus you'll see behind the scenes into the art and book-making process.
Michaela Goade is a Caldecott Medalist and a #1 New York Times bestselling artist. She is the illustrator of a number of award-winning and bestselling books, including We Are Water Protectors written by Carole Lindstrom, I Sang You Down from the Stars written by Tasha Spillett, and her self-authored Caldecott Honor book Berry Song. She is a member of the Tlingit Nation and grew up along the southeast coast of Alaska where she lives today.
