Whether you're learning at home, on-line or at school; from pre-K to college Anchorage Public Library has resources and events to support you or your student!
Due to damage from a multi-vehicle accident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, August 1, the Mountain View Library remains closed until further notice. Municipal staff are working to restore services and ensure the space is safe for library workers and the public. Library staff were not in the building during the accident and are currently working across other library locations. Thank you to our amazing library friends for your kind notes, e-mails, and calls. We hope to be back sharing #907LibraryLove soon.
If you have an item currently on hold at Mountain View Library - you may pick it up during the following days/times by visiting the Mobile Library in the Mountain View Library parking lot.
You may also call (907) 343-2975 between 11 AM - 4 PM Monday-Friday to review other pickup options.
You may place new holds as normal and items will be available for pickup during the posted hours, or you may select any APL location from the holds dropdown menu.
Items may be returned via the exterior drop box on the west side of the building, or to any other Anchorage Public Library location (Muldoon, Chugiak-Eagle River, Loussac, Girdwood). Please return items promptly so that others may borrow them.
All on-site events are cancelled until further notice. Please check our calendar for the most up to date information.
We have no specific needs at this time, however If you would like to support your library, donations may be made to the Anchorage Library Foundation.
