Downtown Library
Anchorage Public Library (APL) and the Anchorage Library Foundation (ALF) are working to re-establish a downtown library made possible by a generous bequest from Janet and John Goetz.
It's time to get growing and our Gerrish, Mountain View, and Chugiak-Eagle River Library Seed Exchanges are open and ready to share. Seeds are “available until gone”. We are accepting AND handing out seeds, so bring your extras to keep the exchange going. All seeds are welcome - vegetable, herb, annuals, perennials, etc.
Update 6/1/2026:
Seeds are no longer available at the Gerrish Library. Special thanks to the Girdwood Library Boosters and the Friends of the Library for their support.
