Chugiak-Eagle River Study Rooms

Three study rooms are available to reserve in advance for small group use at the Chugiak-Eagle River Library. There is no charge for the use of these rooms. This is the only APL location with group study rooms.

Reservation Information

  • A group may reserve a room for one 2-hour period per day free of charge.
  • No more than six people to a room.
  • Study rooms may be reserved in advance in person at the Chugiak-Eagle River Library or by phone 907-343-1530 no more than thirty (30) days in advance.
  • Reservations are forfeited if the group is more than 10 minutes late without prior notification.
  • Walk-in usage is allowed if the rooms are not already reserved. 

Usage Rules

  • Library staff may limit usage for reasons of availability, need, access equity, etc.
  • Library staff may extend time if another group is not waiting for a room.
  • The person booking the group study room must present their library card, or other valid identification at the public service desk for the period of use.
  • Rental fees must be paid for rooms used for business purposes including services, meetings, and events.
  • Food is not allowed in study rooms.
  • You may not bring additional chairs into the room nor may people sit on the table or floor.
  • The group must vacate the study room at least 15 minutes before the Library closes.
  • Library equipment and technology are not included in your study room session. 
  • Personal materials may not be left in the study rooms after use. The Library assumes no responsibility for loss of materials left in study rooms.
  • If the room is left in an untidy state, the patron named in the booking will be asked to clean it.
  • A room must be left the way it was received. The group will lose room privileges if it is not.
  • If the room has been damaged in any way, the patron named in the booking will be charged the actual cost for repairs.
